Solar and wind priority

Introduction. Solar & wind priority gets to work when plugged into shore. It then ensures that solar & wind power are used to charge the battery, while the shore power is only used to prevent the battery from becoming too deeply discharged. It stays in this mode, called Sustain, for seven days; and if by that time there has not been enough ...

We have a Wind Turbine Controller from Voltsys (Ireland) connected to an ABB Uni 5kw Invertor Grid Tied. My theory is charging batteries would …

TRITEC & TUGE Energia: Multipluses with grid connected wind turbine

At this location it is in fact crucial that grid power is supplied with battery backed AC electricity. This is achieved with a TUGE ® 20 kW wind turbine, 15 kW of TRITEC solar panels, Victron Multiplus inverters in a three-phase configuration with two strings which gives 18 kW in total plus 1,300 Ah of battery backup capacity.

Victron MPPT and wind turbine

Turbine braking work''s by shorting the 3 phases together as i am sure you''re aware of and the voltage cut in/out on my controller is programmable so no chance of over charging my batteries. Problem with Victron MPPT in parallel with wind controller

The Victron/Pylontech loop controls High Voltage Discharge to just over 52V. Solar takes it to 90-97% SOC. In parallel, a 3KW Winturbine where the (tristar)MPPT HVD s set just below 52V. This way the Windturbine is ''bulk charging'' but stops before the Victron solar MMPTs. Wind will take the battery to 80-85% SOC, then stop.
